week 10...

here's our little love at 10 weeks old!

isla has definitely found her hands... and they are always in her mouth...

along with anything else she can find!

we still love bath time around here.

we had a fun lunch date with holly and emma.  

it was so good seeing them and we are so excited to meet baby boy tomlin in september!

mimi came to visit and babysit miss isla so mommy and daddy could go on a date!

and last week was uncle justin's birthday too (lot's of may birthday's in this fam).

kate was in town to do a photo shoot and she stopped by afterward to show off her new engagement ring!!!  yay!!!  we are so excited for kate and jo and can't wait for the wedding!

a little nap time...

 isla is such a morning person (which she definitely gets from her daddy) and we just love going in each morning to see that sweet smile!

week 9...

isla was so active this month... this was a hard picture to get and i can only see it getting harder in the future!  she is just so fascinated by things now.  new things she has discovered in the past week are: cartoons on tv (i think she loves all the bright colors and singing), books (she loves to stare at the pages when you turn them), and always a favorite the ceiling fan!

she has so many different expressions and it's amazing to see how quickly they change.
and don't you just love that baby belly!

she also loves to stare at herself or you in the mirror (that's what her and daddy are doing here)!

we also had another huge moment this week (as i'm sure you noticed in the previous post).  

abby has finally warmed up to isla!!  i really thought this day might never come.  but they are so sweet together.  abby will just go lay next to isla on her play mat... it makes this momma so happy!

i knew that abby would love isla one day... but i didn't know it would make me feel like the proudest momma ever!  i love my two girls so much!  they are going to be best friends!

we have been busy the last couple of weeks.

my brothers turned 26... happy birthday blaine and brandon!

so my parents were in town for a little family birthday dinner...

it was also grip's birthday last week... so sad we didn't get to celebrate with him.

we had our first friday night lights watch party last week...

isla got to meet one of her boyfriends for the first time... little layton is such a sweetie and so cuddly!

week 8...

can't believe this little lady is 2 months old!
isla now weighs 12 pounds (75th percentile) and is 23 1/4 inches long (98th percentile).
she is now wearing size 2 diapers and is still in 0-3 month clothes.
we have a healthy little girl on our hands!

she did so good with her shots.  look at those poor little legs.

but still a happy girl!

we got a new glider for the front porch and she loves it...

week 7...

she is such a happy little girl in the morning... i'm going to take some video to post soon!

not only is she happy in the morning, she has to stretch for like 10 minutes... it's hilarious!

my mom is the most caring, loving woman that i know.  she has always put her family first and you can count on her for anything.  it's amazing how your appreciation and respect for your mom grows after you have a child of your own.  thank you for everything you have taught me mom, i'm blessed to have such an amazing mom and example to follow.  we love you nay nay!

i'm also blessed to have the best mother in law.  she has such a sweet and kind spirit.  she is always willing to help with anything.  she has raised three wonderful kids and i'm so happy to be a part of the bakers.  we love you too mimi!
